Economics and Personal Finance is possibly the most relevant course students will encounter in their high school career. The course material digs down into the step by step processes for financial stability like: budgeting, credit score management, applying for loans, paying back loans, insurance, and investment. However, the core of what we do is develop positive values, habits of mind, goals, and resilience so that all the specifics have purpose and meaning. Finally, this course focuses on learning the fundamentals of Macro and Micro economics from the perspective of entrepreneurs. After taking this course, students will be ready to take on mature financial responsibility, participate in the democratic process, and perhaps even start their own business!
